New Artist, Leaf Creating A Women’s Movement: Under Armour x Soundcloud #ShifttheCulture
Last night I had the pleasure of witnessing New York’s young music scene shine underground at legendary New York City barbershop, Astor Place Hairstylists. SoundCloud, in partnership with Under Armour, brought together two worlds with obvious connections — music and sneakers. With live performances by Goldlink, Leaf, and Reese LAFLARE with a special DJ set by Take A DayTrip. People wrapped around the building to see freshman GoldLink, but his opener Leaf got the ladies ready.
Fool’s Gold Records artist Leaf first received mainstream attention for the Lil Yachty feature on “Nada.” The rising artist developed what she calls the Magnet Bitch Movement. This movement was created to band women together for a common goal, to rule the world. A lot like what we are doing here at The Girl Spot. With songs like “Money” and ”FWM” she got me feeling even more of a boss chick.
