Normally, when the holiday season comes around we are all thinking about gifts that we want from others or gifts that we need to purchase for our family and friends. This holiday season let’s think about giving back, giving back to those that are in need. There are so many opportunities out there to help someone less fortunate than you are, so get wrapped up in giving back this holiday season.
4 Ways to Get Wrapped Up in Giving Back this Season:
Give Tuesday: Today is giving Tuesday and several businesses and organizations are participating in #giveTuesday. If you are online shopping or out in stores shopping today, ask if the store you are shopping at is participating in give Tuesday and how you can contribute.
Adopt a family or senior: Adopting a family or senior for Christmas consist of you finding a family or senior whom may be in need this holiday season. You will have the family or senior create a small list of things that they may need and you will go out and purchase the items for them.
Volunteer or Donate at a shelter or home: Find a local shelter or home this holiday season and volunteer some of your time to help make Christmas breakfast or Dinner for the residence. You can also dig deep down into your closet and pull out some of you old gently worn clothing and accessories to donate to the shelter.
Donate to a local non-profit:Exhausted from all of the holiday shopping you’ve done so far? To tired to wrap the gifts you’ve purchased for family and friends.
